Vlog: Potluck Party

Vlog: Potluck Party

I promised you a video log of me taking my warm corn salad to a potluck party, and I don’t like to disappoint. There was no particular “theme” to this potluck, so I figured I’d bring something cheap, in season, and neutral enough to go with lasagna since our hosts, Min and Janice, said that’s what they would provide.

I somehow roped Joe and everyone else to be on camera. I’m starting to gain a reputation around town: “Don’t invite Julie to anything. She’ll video tape it and put it on youtube.” Yes, that’s true, but I do pick and choose! This video was a good one to be in though since there were multiple people involved so it was easy to hide in the crowd, which I’m sure everyone appreciated.

The potluck was relaxing and fun. It was for our church small group. We took a break for the Summer and this was our first day back to gathering again. What better way to kick off the new season than to sit around and eat?

And we had a lot of dessert, which is always good.

As for my warm corn salad? People ate it up like it was going out of style.  I’m glad they enjoyed this simple side dish.

But I’d say that the best part of the night and star of the video was hands down Mistr Lee, aka “Best Friend.” I LOVE dogs, but we don’t have one.  So I’ve adopted our friends’ dog in my mind.  And every time I see him, I say “hi best friend,” in a weird high voice and he TOTALLY understands me.

So come along on our potluck in our video below:

Thanks for coming with us to our potluck.  All of the food was good and we had a relaxing, chill time together.  Thanks for watching, and remember to support us by subscribing to our youtube channel to catch up on any other vlogs or recipe videos you may have missed: youtube.com/chefjulieyoonvideos
