What I realized as a new mom is that other moms are your greatest resource…they’re better than Google! Tonight my friend Sandy dropped by, after she put her own kids to bed, with 10 quart containers of homemade soup! Then as she witnessed Lincoln crying during his witching hour, she said, “Oh Julie, I forgot how painful this time can be…” and then she shared her own difficult stories. Sometimes you just need to talk to someone who truly understands.
Lastly, before she left, she taught me how to make Lincoln do tummy time longer by reading him a book. He lasted an impressive amount of time and then knocked himself out from pure exhaustion. Praise the Lord! Just a few hours ago, I was at the end of my rope as I quickly scarfed down my dinner and then proceeded to bounce him around in a carrier. Now after a short visit from a friend, I’m instantly refreshed and more equipped to fight another day tomorrow! #thelincolnlog
