We’re back from our two-week California adventure and are trying to settle into our routine again. When some of our friends casually ask us, “so what did you do there?” I almost have to take a deep breath as if getting ready to recite a monologue from Shakespeare. That’s a loaded question!
Joe’s brother’s family was visiting Chicago from Korea. We figured it was a great time to take advantage of this rare occasion and take a Yoon family vacay to Disneyland. It’s just ironic that Joe and I used to live right next to Disneyland last year, and now we had to stay in a hotel to visit!
And of course we had to have some in-N-out.
Then Joe and I went to a work event, called the “Foodie Happy Hour,” sponsored by one of our partners, Side Chef…
…at Youtube Space LA!
I had to cook food for 100 people and it was gone in five minutes.
After we said our goodbyes to family, Joe and I stayed behind a few extra days for the heck of it. It was familiar and comforting to be back, and all we wanted to do was take it easy with friends.
But we also squeezed in a visit to the Tastemade office/ studio, another one of our partners. #kitchenenvy
After a few days in Orange County and LA, filled with work and play, we flew to Northern California to visit my sister’s family.
Over there, we finally got to relax because we didn’t have to worry about waiting in lines for rides or cooking for a crowd.
We just spent time with our nephew…
…stared at jelly fish…
…hiked near some tall trees…
…slurped up fresh oysters…
…sipped on wine…
…and hung out by the water…
I know this was a semi-vague synopsis of our time in California, but there will be more details to come. It was difficult to blog while we were there, but at least we caught everything on film! So make sure you subscribe to our Youtube vlog channel,
Videos will be coming soon!
Everything passed by like a whirlwind, so It’s times like these I’m glad we take the time to vlog. It will be fun for me to watch back the footage and remember what we did!
So we’re back to the daily grind now, but it feels good! We’re currently working on the layout of our Bits & Pieces Season 1 e-cookbook now. It’s exciting since we have all creative control, and can make it uniquely ours. Can’t wait to reveal it to you.
And lastly, we are starting to brain storm about Bits & Pieces Season 2. So if you have any suggestions of what you’d like to see me cook, leave it in the comments below. I love your suggestions! Okay, on to the next adventure…
