In many ways, it feels like one year of marriage came and went so fast. Now I’m not saying it was magically delicious all the time, because there’s always that initial adjustment period, which does come with arguments and hurt feelings. However, at the end of the day, we feel very fortunate to have found our better halves.
To celebrate, we decided to do a trip where we could drive, rather than fly, but we still wanted to feel like we were “getting away.” We decided to go to San Francisco, and then went on to Napa Valley for a little vineyard tour.
We drove along the Pacific Coast Highway and made sure to take a lot of photos along the way, especially since Joe loves taking pictures of nature the most. Yes, until he met me, he NEVER took pictures of food.
We had ourselves a grand old time, ate clam chowder out of a sourdough bread bowl and had some sips of wine. It was definitely a nice getaway. To many more happy years!
