Sweet and Spicy Nuts
These Sweet + Spicy Nuts are all you need to get the party started because they're the perfect crunchy and sweet little bites with a surprise kick. The best part is how easy they are to make, so you might want to make a double batch because they'll be gone quick!

- 1 cup whole natural almonds
- ½ cup walnut halves
- ½ cup cashews
- 2 tablespoons salted butter
- ½ cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon water
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ¼ teaspoon fine salt
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme
- Cooking spray
Place nuts in a large dry skillet. Cook over medium heat for 8 minutes or until toasted, stirring often. Transfer to a bowl.
Add butter, brown sugar, water, cayenne pepper, and salt to pan. Cook over medium heat 1 minute, stirring until sugar dissolves. Add nuts and thyme, stirring to coat. Cook an additional 1-2 minutes or until nuts are coated and glazed.
Immediately spread the mixture in a single layer on a foil-lined baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Cool completely and serve. Leftover nuts will keep for several days in an airtight container.
