Vlog: What We Do for Fun in Orange County Part 1

On youtube, I tend to see plenty of videos posted about LA, but what about Orange County?  Maybe that’s why I felt inspired to film a video of my own.  Since I moved here only three years ago, I still get amazed at the palm trees and mountains. And I can’t get over the nice weather and lack of mosquitoes at night.  So, to be honest, I still feel like I’m on a vacation everyday.

However, let’s make it clear right off the bat that the Orange County I know and experience daily is a far cry from what you might see on shows like The Real Housewives of Orange County, or Laguna Beach.  Most of my days, my biggest adventure includes going to the grocery store, or taking out the trash.

But my friend, Shauna from New Jersey, came to California for her cousin’s wedding and decided to stay with us for three days.  Shauna and I met in New York City as young adults.  We bonded over having horrible jobs, no money, and no boyfriends.  Now we’re both married and finally pursuing our dreams of working for ourselves.  She’s a talented singer and private voice teacher.  I knew filming a vlog with her would be fun because she’s a natural performer and isn’t camera shy.  I knew that would amount to some crazy moments, which of course I was ready to capture on film.

We started off the day slow because she was so busy doing homework for her Master’s program, but eventually the day got rolling with shopping at Irvine Spectrum, dinner at Mario’s Peruvian Seafood Restaurant, and a stroll through Downtown Disney.

After looking back at the footage, it looked like all Shauna and I did was eat and shop.  Hmm… maybe we’re not THAT different from The Real Housewives after all…

I filmed our shenanigans over the course of three days, so I had to split up the videos into a two-part series.  Here’s day one, Part 1 of our “Orange County Adventure”:

Stay tuned for Part 2, and remember to subscribe to our youtube channel to stay in the loop, or to check out our other videos. Thanks for watching… orange you glad you did? Haha….
