Vlog: Granola Making Adventure

Vlog: Granola Making Adventure

I tend to film vlogs whenever I get inspired, but then I usually don’t get around to editing them until way later. That was the case for this video. It was Fall time and I was in the mood to make an “Autumn Granola,” with tons of nuts and ruby red dried cranberries. Something about the crisp weather made me want to turn on my oven and make something sweet, crunchy and toasty to munch on.

Good thing my friend Vanessa was on the same wave length and wanted to make granola too. But this was our first time making it, so we came up with a recipe based off of whatever looked good at the market. Therefore the good news is that if you feel like making it too, you’ll be happy to know that this recipe is quite flexible. You can throw in whatever floats your boat. You can go here for the recipe.

We decided to take you to the store with us so you could come along on our hunt for granola ingredients. Mind you, at this time, I was still filming with my obnoxious camcorder and not my more discreet phone.

So yes, people were staring and giving us weird looks the whole time, especially in the unusually crazy busy nut aisle at Trader Joe’s.

Although Trader Joe’s was pretty much a one-stop shop for this sort of thing, we did end up going to a second grocery store  to pick up some of the other stuff. It was just cheaper that way.

Then we went back to my place where I tricked Vanessa into doing most of the manual labor so that I could be free to document our process for you.

So this video ended up being a cross between my regular crazy casual video logs, and our normal more educational recipe videos.  You can join us on our adventure in my video below.

Thanks for watching!  Now go print out our recipe for Nutty Cranberry Granola, and you’re well on your way to your own granola making adventure.
